While working with Scout Motors, I had the privilege of contributing to a team that pitched an HMI concept for Scout Motors’ planned reintroduction to the Volkswagen Group’s board. Our main objective was to design a bold, rugged, and timeless in-car experience concept that stayed true to the original brand’s heritage. This involved collaboratively generating innovative conceptual and visual ideas to support the ambitious revival of this nearly forgotten brand.

With the board’s approval to officially launch the revival of Scout, the team and I delved deeper into exploring, researching, and designing a comprehensive 360° in-car experience that captured the adventurous spirit at the heart of the Scout brand.

My role focused on the practical development and refinement of these concepts. I was responsible for preparing and conducting multiple qualitative user tests, ensuring we captured valuable insights to guide our design decisions. This iterative process involved continuously evolving and rapidly prototyping concepts for the in-car experience to better align with the unique needs of the target audience.

I worked to deeply understand those niche but highly relevant user needs, including their specific technical requirements, such as off-roading, truck-towing and camping. Additionally, I supported the development of a wireframe design system, enabling the swift introduction and exploration of new concepts.

Due to ongoing non-disclosure agreements, detailed information about the design processes, research, and concepts cannot be shared at this moment of time.
