In the winter semester of 2024/25, I had the opportunity to design and lead a course at SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences for Bachelor’s students in Advertising and Brand Design. The course challenged students to develop a comprehensive brand and digital product concept for TrialMe, a Swedish healthcare start-up focused on closing the gender health gap by making clinical studies more accessible to women globally.
My role encompassed designing the course structure, mentoring student teams through each phase of the product and brand development process, and providing feedback on their work throughout the semester. Together, we explored user research, brand strategy, UX design, and prototyping methods—culminating in the delivery of an interactive prototype and brand guideline handed over to the client.
One of the main challenges was guiding students—most of whom had limited prior experience in digital product design—through unfamiliar terrain. I supported them in translating real-world client needs into actionable design solutions, helping them understand how branding, storytelling, and UX converge in the development of meaningful digital experiences.
